Introduction
With AutoKB you have the option to keep a log of search queries that return no results. This can be useful so that you can create articles based on the
searches that are being done in your knowledge base. In order to use this function you need to make sure the 'Keep track of user searches that produce no results?'
box is checked in the Edit Software Options interface.
Viewing Empty Searches
To see all of the empty searches that currently exist in the database, click on the Manage Empty Searches link in the control panel interface. The page that comes
up will show you all of the empty searches that have been done through your knowledge base. From this interface you can delete any of the empty searches and also
quickly create an article based on one of the empty searches. Each of the columns is described below.
Search Term - This is the search term entered by the user that returned no results
Category - This is the category that the user was searching in
Date - This shows the date and time that this search was done
Actions - These are actions that can be performed on the empty search.

Creating an Article
To create an article from this interface, click on any of the empty search's

icon. AutoKB will pop up a window where you
can create a new article. You will still be able to see the empty searches interface so that you can easily view the search terms and create your article.
Once you have entered the article how you want it press the Add Article button. You will be returned to the article creation page and a note near the
top of the page will indicate that the article has been added to the database. While there will be no relation between the article and the empty search
result, being able to access the article creation interface from the empty search results interface makes it easier to create your new article.
Deleting an Empty Search
To delete one of the empty searches, click on it's

icon. A javascript confirmation window will pop-up asking you if you
are sure that you want to delete the empty search. Press the ok button to confirm that you want to delete the empty search. AutoKB will remove
the empty search from the database and it will no longer be displayed in the control panel.
You can delete multiple empty searches at once by placing a check in the box next to the search term and then pressing the Delete Selected button. You
can delete all of the empty searches by pressing the Delete All button.
